Introduction to The Wing Chun School The Wing Chun School Mission Statement

The Wing Chun School policy on Wing Chun Kuen is quite simple: no politics, no gimmicks, no magic; we refrain from using words like traditional, authentic, classical, pure and modified, realising that Wing Chun Kung Fu is both a practical and pragmatic form of martial arts, and an expression of concepts.

The question is: What is your approach to Wing Chun Kuen? Or, why do you want to learn it? This is where gimmickry and magic are aborted, and practical and functional Wing Chun Kung Fu is taught for the promotion of self-defence, health and vitality. Therefore classes and private tuition stress basic training, firm foundation at all levels, and attention to detail.

Because our training is geared towards real combat, a certain level of fitness and conditioning is required, and Wing Chun Kung Fu facilitates the student to achieve these standards for his or her level.

All classes are composed of students of mixed standards, so advanced students can assist beginners which improves their standards, and advanced students get to recap on their basic techniques. All classes are taught and supervised by qualified instructors with years of experience, and private tuition for individuals and small groups are available from our instructors.
